Top five favorite movies

It is so many movies in the world that are good but if you are going to take out you top five, you cannot choice them after how many Oscar they have or which ratings they have on imdb, you need to feel it. The movies I have chosen are probably my top five favorite movies and I have seen them several times and they have affected me emotional every time. Yes, the first time is always the best but the other times you notice stuff you didn’t notice before and this happens every time I see them. To rate my best five movies ever is so hard. Movies like Kingdom of Heaven, Gandhi, Goodfellas, Casino, Batman etc. is close by and if I made a list of 50 best movies it would be more fare because it is so many movies that has the definition as “GREAT”.

• Lawrence of Arabia!!

The movie is world known and has been awarded 7 Oscar for it´s greatness. Lawrence is based on true General in Cairo 1916. As a young General he is sent to investigate the progress of an Arab revolt against the Turks in World War 1. He organizes a Gorilla army in the dessert. The British generals hate him because he is an arrogant and strange man but he becomes one of the most famous generals the British Empire has ever had.

It is an old movie from 1962 and the director David Lean died April 16, 1991. This movie is pretty old so to watch this can be kind of boring in some scenes and many in our time can´t even watch it because of that. I love it. It is based on an amazing man and his story. If you like history and war this is a perfect movie.

• Intoucbables!!!

Philippe is a millionaire that is handicapped and he can´t move his body. He interviews candidates for the position of his caretaker. From out of the blue, a rude African man comes. He needs the job to receive unemployment insurance. Philippe challenges him that it will be to hard for him and Driss takes the job as caretaker.

This movie is also based on a true story and the main theme of the movie is about the loving friendship. The movie is fun and sad at he both time. This movie is actually French and has a French director and every main character is also French. The name of the directors is Olivier Nakache and Eric Toledano and they are unknown for me too. Even if this movie is French, it has an awesome storyline and the friendship between them is inspiring. A young poor immigrant that lives in a small apartment with a huge family comes into contact with a millionaire that has everything but still nothing. They are two people that are from two different worlds but still become best friends.

• Lord of the Rings!!!

These movies are masterpieces and are world famous. The story is about the war of middle earth. A hobbit and eight companions set out on a journey to destroy the on ring and the lord Sauron. The mastermind behind the story is J.R.R. Tolkien (British writer). He created a whole new world with new characters that is amazing and it took him a very long time to write it. He made these movies possible and Peter Jackson the director of the movie did the work perfectly. The third movie has been awarded 11 Oscar. I have seen these trilogies about 30 times and they are marvelous ever time I see them. If you haven´t seen these movies you should feel bad and you must see them before you die at least.

• Godfather!!!!

Godfather is ranked on the most website as the best movie ever. It is one of the greatest movies ever and will live forever. The director Francis Ford Coppola had almost no money when he did the godfather trilogy. He sold his own house and he gave his whole fortune for the making of these movies. He employed great actor´s for example Marlon Brando, Al Pacino, James Caan and Robert Duvall. Incredible actors.

My favorite scene in these movies is when James Caan as Sonny becomes crazy that his sister husband beets her up. It is a perfect scene explaining that in mafia families the family is the most important thing and they will do everything for the protection of it. 

Marlon Brando is the Godfather in the first movie and I think he is the actor that plays best and makes the movie realistic. In the second and third movie Al Pacino the son becomes the boss. The first and second godfather movie s absolutely the best and the third was made just because the needed an end of the story. This trilogy is a story that every one at least knows about. I started to love godfather early in my life because of my father who showed them to me when I just was a young boy. I loved them immediately.

• The wild bunch!!

This is a movie that many haven’t seen because it’s from 1969 (Old movie). I have always loved western movies and this movie is a good explanation how it was at that time if you were a robber. The story is about a group of outlaws that robs banks. They are good at the thing they do but they come into troubles and have to run away from the bounty hunters that follow them. The whole movie builds up towards the end scene when on of their own is captured and they are encountered with the choice of escape or what is certainly a suicide mission to attempt and free their fallen behind comrade. For them it is not a choice. They all die in what can only be described as a bloodbath battle.
